Here are the cutscenes I wrote for Vessel of Hatred:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Some of my responsibilities on X1 overlapped with those on the base game; I’ve excluded that overlap below. You can check out what I did on D4’s base game for a more complete picture of all I did on X1.
These are the new responsibilities I undertook during my time on X1:
- Pitch and develop new lore for Nahantu, the Spirit Realm, and Spiritborn–all new content included in X1. Collaborate with lore historians to build on existing lore.
- Act as one of X1’s narrative points of contact. Provide context, info, and story guidance to other team members who had questions about X1’s lore and story.
- Collaborate with partners in Products to provide feedback on out-of-game content, including short stories, comic pitches, cookbooks, animatics, and scripts for developer live streams.
- Write and iterate on dialogue with a focus on emotion, motivation, pacing, tone, and clarity:
- Half of the main campaign
- 5 cinematic cutscenes in main campaign
- 2 strongholds
- NPC barks in 3 open world areas
- Diagnose and fix narrative bugs across the campaign.
